Great pet carrier!

I just recently purchased this bag to transport my cat in an international flight. The bag is perfect if you want to keep a low profile during the trip. Only a few people noticed that I was carrying a cat with me! (kids most of the time). Anyway I think this bag is perfect to carry your pet in air flights but training your pet to become used to it is very important as well.
The bag fits perfectly under a plane seat. I would've liked a set of wheels in the base of the bag to drag it around since my cat is really heavy (about 12 lbs) but other than that I have no complaints from this bag. The materials are very resistant and high quality.
Definitely a must buy if you intend to take your pet with you in the plane. Highly recommend!. |
Is approved for under seat in cabin travel

| This carrier is approved for in cabin under the seat travel. All the airlines I have spoken to have regulations for the size of carrier that can be brought onboard. These regulations are inforced for hard carriers. I was told by Delta & American that as long as the soft sided bag is not larger than a regular carry on piece it is ok. This bag will fit under the seat as well as most of the Sherpa bags available. As airline rules change often, it is always better to ask when making reservations. |
Just what I was hoping for.

| I was worried about being told at the gate that my carrier would not fit under my seat, or that it was too small for my cat or something would go wrong. I was pleasantly suprised, that even on a crowded flight, and with my being 6' 3" that I was still able to fit my carrier under the seat and have room for my feet. The carrier also was very well made, and when the side flaps are down, with only the mesh on the front open, people never could guess that I had a 12 pound cat in my bag! I was very happy with my purchase. |

| A lot of thought seems to have gone into the design of this carrier. My cat had only a short trip in it and it worked very well. She seemed quite comfortable on the sherpa fleece lined pad. It has straps for carrying like a suitcase, as well as a shoulder strap and it was easy to carry. It is delivered in a small carton and it's a bit stiff to stretch out and open when brand new but I suppose that's good because it means that it's studily constructed. Intelligently written and useful instructions come with it, telling you how to travel with your pet and which airlines accept its use in the passenger compartment. There is also a pocket for your pet's travel documents. I suppose that on a long trip, a cat might be able to claw through the mesh window - just keep an eye on it. The carrier is large enough for cats and small dogs. I bought this from PetCo through Amazon and was delighted with the good communication and extremely fast shipping. |
It worked for me! (And more importantly, for the cat)

I've been struggling with a hard-sided "Kabin Kennel" for years, and this was SO much easier for me and my cat. She seemed a lot more relaxed, and didn't rub her nose raw meowing through hard plastic airholes. Instead of having a metal handle that cut my hand, these two carry straps let me balance her on my hip -- I didn't really need the shoulder strap. I liked the velcro-closed end flaps that let me hide her or peek at her.
Top or endloading made it easier to get her inside (not to mention to leave it in the living room as a bed; I put catnip in it for a few weeks beforehand and fed her treats there to convince her it wasn't all bad). That also made it easier to get her in and out at security.
The fleece liner wandered a bit under her and I put a second liner beneath it as a precaution, but I think she liked the snuggly fleece. I'm so grateful I had this thing; it just happened to be the first time I had a serious delay while travelling with kitty. The zip pocket was great for stowing my travel documents and hers.
My cat tends to snooze on the plane, so I didn't have a problem with her trying to get out. Getting her under the seat was a bit challenging, but I was on a Delta flight, and it *did* fit -- the struts bend enough to make up for the one inch difference. |
